About Monica Montemayor, MD

Dr Montemayor was born in Monterrey, Mexico but migrated with her family to the United States during early childhood. She has lived in Michigan since 1989. She studied microbiology and immunology at the University of Michigan, where she participated in cancer research. Dr. Montemayor attended the University of Michigan for medical school and completed her pediatric residency at CS Mott Children’s Hospital (now Michigan Medicine). Dr. Montemayor prides herself in not only practicing evidence-based medicine, but also practicing shared decision making with the parent and child.
